Frank Domantay founded ResearchInsights in late 2006 after 35 years of experience gained in various senior marketing and sales management positions encompassing product management, new products development, marketing and product planning, government business tenders, sales force effectiveness, sales administration and marketing research in Australia and in the Asia Pacific region.
The company changed its name to DecisionInsights in January 2009 to reflect its broader services to business enterprise such as the preparation of business plans, feasibility studies, business strategy development and new product development.

Frank's work experiences include senior marketing research, sales and marketing effectiveness, new product and business development management positions with Fortune 500 companies such as:

- Fowlers Vacola, and
- Zero.com.
During the late 1980's, Frank also worked as a part time senior researcher with a major Australian market research agency on projects such as national political polls, beverages and new products.
Frank is an accredited member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society (AMSRS) and is a Qualified Practicing Market Researcher (QPMR); obtained university degrees in Business Administration, Public Administration and with majors in Business Management and Marketing. In addition, he has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Background
Frank Domantay has over 35 years of experience in both pharmaceutical and FMCG companies, including senior roles with Bristol Myers Squibb Australia, Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, Glaxo (GSK), Nissan Motor Company, Australian Hostess Industries, Fowlers Vacola and Zero.com.
In his 17 years with Bristol Myers Squibb Australia (BMSA), Frank's achievements include the introduction of the company's ETMS/SFA system in early 1980's, administration of the government tender business for BMSA, 4 years assignment on major market research projects in the Asia Pacific Region covering both Pharmaceutical and OTC products. He initiated numerous new product market research studies in Cardiovascular, Hypolipidaemics, Anti-Psychotics, Anti-Thrombotics, Oncology, Anti Infectives, Rheumatoid Arthritis and AIDS. He also instigated a multitude of market research projects in effectively managing product life cycles, new business project reviews and assessments, business operations and processes reviews.
During his last 4 years with BMSA, he personally conducted field market research on numerous major business operational processes amongst both key internal and external stakeholders in countries such as Japan, China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. . These included projects such as researching the use of e-Business tools amongst key customer groups and review of promotional activities and expenditures amongst all Bristol Myers Squibb subsidiary companies in the Asia Pacific Region. This led to identifying business operational processes needing improvement and great financial savings to the company.
Frank comes from the Philippines. After graduating with a double degree in Business and Public Administration, he initially worked as a Market Analyst with Daily Foods Incorporated, and then as Market Research Assistant with E.R. Squibb & Sons (Philippines).
In 1972, Frank migrated to Australia and joined Glaxo Australia to set up their marketing research department as Market Research Manager. In1980 he moved to Nissan Motor Company (Australia) as Market Plans Manager to help launch the Bluebird and Pulsar passenger vehicles. In 1982, he joined Fowlers Vacola and Australian Hostess Industries as New Products and Business Development Manager and launched a number of innovative household, industrial and automotive component products. In 1984 Frank joined the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) with multiple roles in Marketing Research, Sales Administration and Product Management.
Whilst working in the pharmaceutical industry, Frank was actively involved as an executive member of the Australian Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group and held the Chairmanships of two committees: Training and Professional Development and Industry Surveys. Frank is one of the early QPMR (Qualified Practicing Market Researcher) recipients of the Australian Market & Social Research Society.
